Hey friends!
My name is Genesis, and I am soon to be a college graduate in just over 4 months! During my schooling, I have lived in dorms and apartments on campus, an apartment off campus, and even passed my real estate exam to learn more about housing and living. Each living situation has presented different challenges and lessons that I learned both through experience and my real estate studies.
When I lived on campus during my freshman year, things were a breeze. Although it was tough living without a kitchen and having to eat in the cafeteria, I got to live with my best friends, which made it all worthwhile. Right before my junior year, I got my first apartment in Miami while doing an internship. This was a lot different from living on campus because I had to take on more responsibilities. I had to cook my own meals, buy stuff for the apartment, and make sure I kept everything nice since I was renting it. The process was a learning experience.
From junior year to senior year, I lived in an apartment on campus and had the best of both worlds: a kitchen, living room, bathrooms, and still a campus restaurant to go to. Even with all my experiences in different living styles, I learned a lot more about apartment living through studying and passing my real estate exam. I did not even know that different types of leases existed and what could or could not be included in housing agreements. It threw me for a loop and made me wish I had known more to weigh my options better.
With this in mind, I created an e-book filled with knowledge to help YOU on your apartment journey so you can feel confident in your decisions. I am grateful for the experiences I have had and for passing my real estate exam so that I can share this knowledge with you! I want you to feel comfortable and assured that you have made the right decision for your home. I have put years of experience and a year of studying into this to help you on your journey. Getting an apartment is an exciting adventure!
